Definition and Usage

The required property sets or returns whether an email field must be filled out before submitting a form.

This property reflects the HTML required attribute.

Syntax

Return the required property:

emailObject.required

Set the required property:

emailObject.required=true|false

Value Description
true|false Specifies whether an email field should be a required part of form submission.
  • true - The email field is a required part of form submission
  • false - Default. The email field is not a required part of form submission
