Definition and Usage

The Columns property is used to set or return the width of the TextBox control.

Syntax

<asp:TextBox Columns="num" runat="server" />
 
Attribute Description
num A number specifying the width, in characters, of the text box

Example

The following example sets the width of a TextBox control:

<asp:TextBox id="tb1" runat="server" Columns="50" />
</form>
